Gilmore Youth Leadership Institute

Dear Parents and Participants,

The institute is for young women between the ages of 12 and 18. The goal of the institute is to prepare young women locally so that they may act, think, and engage globally. Statistics show that young women who become civically engaged at a young age are civically engaged for a lifetime, and are less likely to drop out of school, use drugs, or become pregnant.

These young women will definitely become stronger leaders after participating in this institute. I look forward to watching these young ladies grow and make new friends. Additionally, I would like to thank all of our lecturers and service learning partners who made this event possible.
