Greater Chattanooga Democratic Women's Club Meeting

The Greater Chattanooga Democratic Women's Club will welcome Representative JoAnne Favors of Tennessee's House District 29 (Hamilton County) as its speaker for their monthly meeting. Rep. Favors will speak on "The Legislative Process."

Representative Favors has served in the state legislature since she was first elected in 2004, after representing the people in her local district on the Hamilton County Commission from 1998-2005. During her tenure in the Tennessee State House of Representatives, Ms. Favors has served as Assistant Majority Whip, as Chair of the Professional Occupations Committee, and as Secretary of the Health and Human Resources Committee. Additionally, she has served as a member on the Children and Family Affairs, Commerce, Domestic Relations, Industrial Impact, Public Health and Family Assistance, and Rules Committees.

Representative Favors holds a Master of Science in Nursing Administration and Adult Health, in addition to BSN and ASN degrees. Her professional experience includes Health Administration, Consulting, and Motivational Speaking. She is also a member of many professional and civic organizations including the Women's Leadership Institute, the Greater Chattanooga Democratic Women's Club, the Tennessee and American Nurses Associations, and the National Conference of State Legislators.
