Join us this Saturday, June 6th at 10a.m. at the Tennessee Democratic Party headquarters for an Organizing for America Health Care Kickoff Meeting. It was through your tireless efforts that we elected Barack Obama to the Presidency and he has asked again for our help! The President has talked about the long overdue opportunity for comprehensive health care reform and now is the time to be a part of making that happen. The President is organizing his administration to pass real reform, but as you read this those who oppose Health Care Reform are gearing up to fight what the majority of Americans have called for. You worked hard to elect an advocate for change, now is the time to organize our communities around that change. This is an historic opportunity to improve Health Care for all Americans. The work we do now will strengthen our nation for generations to come, but it can’t be done without your help! Won’t you join us on Saturday?

A helpful summary of the need for cost-savings and reform of healthcare is available at the White House website. It was created by the President's Council of Economic Advisers. Preventing an increase in the cost of healthcare puts money back in the pockets of Americans - it's almost like a tax cut!
