Tennessee Democratic Party

The Official Community for Tennessee's Democrats

I will be hosting a Chairs Debate on January 3rd, 2011 by conference call at 6:30 CST and 7:30 EST.

In the coming days I will personally invite each of the candidates for Chair to participate in the debate. In addition, I will invite the all the Executive Committee members and County Chairs to attend.

The conference call format should be a great tool for all of the
Executive Committee members across the State to examine the candidates
side-by-side and hear their platforms for the future of the Party directly from the candidates.

I invite the Democratic Party members at-large to provide input into the questions. The debate will be recorded and made available to Democratic Party members who can not attend.

I understand that candidates are out doing their best to talk with our Executive Committee members -- individually and in groups. Personally, I’ve already talked with most of the candidates as I truly want to make a well informed decision.

The timing of this event is important, as the Executive Committee will be casting their votes on either January 8th or the 22nd for our Party leadership.

I believe this additional format will be beneficial to the selection process as we rebuild the Party and work to improve Tennessee, our home communities, and the nation as a whole.

I appreciate each of the candidates’ desire to serve the Party.

Sincerely,

Brad

I can think of a lot of questions to ask but I wonder if we would really hear the truth.....It seems to me that a lot of people use the TNDP to further their own personal interests. Not all but quite a few. Chair of the TNDP should have one main goal and that is to elect Democrats.

TNDP CHAIRS DEBATE

We, as a Party, have an exciting future ahead of us - a future full of opportunities and challenges.

Next week we will make an important decision as we decide - collectively - who will lead the Party into its future. As a fellow, Executive Committee member, it's my hope that we make a well informed and thoughtful
decision.

Back on December 2nd, I publicly announced the "TNDP CHAIRS DEBATE". As originally announced, the Chairs Debate will take place NEXT MONDAY, JANUARY 3RD, 2011 AT 6:30 CST AND 7:30 EST. The timing of this
event is important, as the Executive Committee will be casting our votes on
January 8th for our Party leadership.

We have four candidates still vying for the position of Party Chair. These individuals are interested in leading us into the opportunities and through the challenges of the future. Chip Forrester, Matt
Kuhn, Wade Munday have all agreed to participated in the debate. Gordon Ball
will be out of state on business, therefore he will not be able to attend.

The format of this debate will be "innovative" as collective communication is limited due to the vast size of the State and other time commitments. In order to each everyone - EC members, County Chairs, and
other Party members will have the ABILITY TO "TUNE INTO" THIS DEBATE
THROUGH TWO AVENUES - (1) CONFERENCE CALL NUMBER AND (2) LIVE OVER THE
INTERNET. NOTE: I will send out the access information this coming Friday.

The three candidates participating in the debate will gather together in Nashville around the same table as we broadcast out to the listeners and viewership. This debate will be a great opportunity for all of
the Executive Committee members across the State to examine each candidate
side-by-side as we determine the Party's future.

I would like to invite all Democratic Party members at-large to PROVIDE INPUT INTO THE QUESTIONS BY EMAILING THEM TO debate@bradparish.com/

I look forward to receiving your questions and hope that you will join us by tuning into this important debate next Monday.

Sincerely,
