Join the Knoxville Climate Project Steering Committee

Dear Democrats,
We have an awesome opportunity to turn today's prepared climate change workshop into an even bigger event and with your help, we can make that happen this fall! A few committed people came to today's climate project workshop and I am very grateful for their presence. I think even more committed political activists will be ready to be engaged in this workshop this fall! The presentation is complete so it is up to us to go forward with how we would like to do this as in time, date, location, etc.

This is a really important and timely topic, now, because the new cap and trade legislation will be in committee when the legislature returns from break on April 20th. Also, we currently have some exciting state legislation that has been presented into the state legislature by Bredesen and sponsored by the legislators that were appointed to the Climate and Energy Task Force in Tennessee last year.

We know that the Republicans will make every effort to derail even the bipartisan legislation that has been introduced in our state let alone on a national level. We owe it to ourselves, our planet, our country, and our party to become educated not just on the issue but on how we can rebut the spin as we reach out to average citizens to ask for their support in creating a new energy policy and implementing new environmental laws.

I believe we have the ability to make this a success and together we can commit to making this a banner event for our party and our city. I look forward to hearing from you and joining together in the planning committee to make this a success.
