We are at a crossroads with this election cycle. Do we continue down the path of repairing our economy and relations around the world, or do we slide back into the same failed policies of the past that saw our reputation around the world suffer and our economic engine nearly grind to a halt? Tennessee withstood the flailing economy better than most other states because of the hard work of Gov. Phil Bredesen and our Democratic leadership in the General Assembly and in Congress. But Tennessee Republicans focused all their energy on divisive rhetoric and do-nothing legislation. If you want to stop this nonsense and move this state and nation forward, join the Tennessee Grassroots Initiative. This is a program dedicated solely to strengthen the Tennessee Democratic Party while giving you a voice and an avenue of action:

Need some questions answered about Health Care ? Check out the White Houses new web site.

Obama to celebrate health reform's six month anniversary: President Obama is set to do a slew of events today celebrating the six month anniversary of the passage of health reform. How long until anonymous skittish Dems run to the media to grouse that talking about health reform at all is going to destroy their hopes in the midterms?

The Obama events today include the unveiling of a new Web site designed to educate voters on the law and a visit by Obama to a private home in Virginia, where he will meet with a chronically ill individual and discuss the law's benefits.
