Under the Executive Director's supervision, the Political Director will:
• Develop and maintain close working relationships with elected officials, county chairs, executive committee, and strategic allied organizations;
• Work with Data Director and Communications Director to identify opportunities and to work with allied organizations on research and communication to develop rapid response campaigns;
• Lead candidate recruitment, training and other campaign support efforts for candidates and campaigns in conjunction with allied organizations as part Party's overall election plans;
• Organize, plan and execute political events across the state.
Desired Experience and Skills
The ideal candidate for the Political Director will have:
• At least three years of experience advancing a political program at a national and/or state organization;
• An understanding of the progressive nonprofit and labor communities;
• Passion and skills for working with diverse coalitions to bring about consensus and unified actions;
• Strong writing and communication skills;
• Experience with multifaceted planning processes;
• Familiarity and experience with an expansive toolbox of strategies to move targets and/or messages to voters, including paid and earned media, field organizing, online activism, direct action, etc.;
• Demonstrated flexibility in problem-solving and ability to work long hours;
• Positive attitude.

Deputy Executive Director Position Description
The Deputy Executive Director assists the Executive Director in the day to day operations of the Tennessee Democratic Party, the management of party staff, and serves as a senior advisor to the Executive Director, Chair, State Executive Committee, and County Chairs. This position is an important strategic role with a wide range of responsibilities, serving as a trusted adviser to and strategic asset for the Executive Director and Chairman of the Party to assist in building a robust and effective elections-winning machine at TNDP.
This is a full-time position based in Nashville, TN. This position reports directly to the Executive Director.

Deputy Data Director

The Deputy Data Director will be part of a dynamic duo whose principle responsibility will be assisting with the daily management of Votebuilder as well as other aspects of the TNDP’s databases. This position is based in the TNDP’s Nashville office and will work directly with the Data Director while assisting with the data-related needs for the entire TNDP staff.
The ideal candidate should have a background in Votebuilder management, training Votebuilder users, manipulating large sets of data, familiarity with databases commonly used by state parties, familiarity with strategies in data acquisition, and communicating data related priorities to field, political, and campaign leadership.

Deputy Director of Fundraising
The Tennessee Democratic Party is searching for a Deputy Director of Fundraising. This position will be part of a dynamic team, including the Fundraising Director, the Chairman, and the Executive Director, whose principle responsibility is working with existing donors and recruiting new supporters. This position will lead in donor research and staffing Call Time. Based in our Nashville office, this person reports directly to the Fundraising Director and also works directly with the Chairman.
Work with the Chairman and assist the Director of Fundraising to implement a comprehensive fundraising plan
Assist in planning Local, Regional, and Statewide fundraising events, including annual Jackson Day celebration and Music Row events
· Conduct and review research on prospective donors and develop and recommend strategies
· Prep, staff, and complete follow-up procedures for the Chairman's Call Time
· Arrange and attend meetings with donors and prospective donors
· Identify and evaluate new donors, while strengthening relationships with current donors
· Assist in creating advertisements, event invitations, and promotional materials for the Party
· Maintain and supervise maintenance of donor records in NGP database for fundraising and compliance purposes
· Provide training/information to volunteers and interns as required
Solicit donations in-person, by phone, and in writing
Work with Director of Communications and Data Director on targeted email and mail fundraising

Communications Assistant- Tennessee Democratic Party
The Tennessee Democratic Party is looking for a Communications Assistant to help its growing Communications team get our message out and elect Democratic candidates up and down the ballot in 2014 and beyond.
This position reports directly to TNDP’s Communications Director and will play a critical role in helping the organization track and realize its communications goals. Applicants will have the opportunity to learn or hone skills integral to political communications.
The ideal candidate is well-organized, extremely detail-oriented, and able to react quickly to breaking developments while also being able to stay on top of long-term goals and planning.

Digital Director- Tennessee Democratic Party
The Tennessee Democratic Party is seeking a Digital Director. The Digital Director will be responsible for developing and leading an aggressive online program to bolster our candidates and organization through the November 2014 elections and beyond. The Digital Director will work closely with other department directors and will report directly to the Executive Director. The position is based in Nashville, TN at TNDP’s headquarters. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Email: Develop email strategy for fundraising and volunteer recruitment; write & send campaign emails; track and analyze email performance
Social Media: Plan and implement TNDP’s social media strategy and train candidates and activists on the use of social media for campaigns.
Content Creation: Create written and multimedia content to drive engagement on the TNDP website and over social media
General: Supporting the campaign's growing digital operations, and finance/field/communications teams, as necessary
Reporting: Produce digestible reports of online metrics on an ongoing basis

The Tennessee House Democratic Caucus is seeking applicants for the position of Campaign Manager for House Democratic candidates in the Middle Tennessee area.

The Tennessee House Democratic Caucus is an organization dedicated to the election of Democrats to the Tennessee House of Representatives. The Caucus serves to assist candidates in their campaign through technical and financial support in order to expand our caucus and ensure our common values of hard-work, opportunity and fairness are reflected in the legislature.
Campaign managers will need to be able to create and maintain a budget.
Campaign managers will be required to know how to target voters to maximize the use of limited campaign resources.
Campaign managers will assist their candidates in developing a message, promoting that message, and ensuring the campaign stays on message.
Campaign managers will be responsible for all aspects of their campaign, from finance and field to press and compliance.
Candidates for the position should have great organizational skills that will be required to maintain a professional operation.
Candidates must have strong communications skills, including written and verbal communication.
Candidates will be expected to work long hours throughout the duration of the campaign while maintaining a positive attitude.
Candidates must be able to work well with a team, both in their campaign and with the Caucus and Party.
Candidates should have prior campaign experience, preferably in various different positions within the campaign.
Candidates should have reliable transportation and be willing to relocate for their position if required.
