The Tennessee Values Summit 2011 will be held on May 20 - 22 at DoubleTree Hotel in Jackson, Tenn.

The Summit will be an interactive training with workshops, guest speakers and socializing. Our presenters and programs are focused on helping Democrats — at all levels — build and deliver a winning message to voters in 2012.
Join us in Jackson to discuss our values and learn how to best communicate our democratic principles to your friends and neighbors.
Your $40 registration fee includes a Friday night Welcome Reception, covers lunch and dinner on Saturday and breakfast and lunch on Sunday.
Take advantage of a spirited program designed to educate and inform Democrats on how to best message current issues and network with other strong Democrats from across the state.

It’s time to get up and move around a bit. We invite you to take some time in each of our three activities where you can participate in our service project, express your values in the TNDP’s video room, or learn more about the science behind messaging.
Service Project: Build a Care Package for TN Schools: For Democrats, service is not only about what happens in the legislature; it’s also about what we do to help our neighbors in the communities we love. Show your commitment to our students and join the Tennessee College Democrats in preparing much-needed care packages.

Drew Westen, Ph.D. is a clinical, personality, and political psychologist, and Professor in the Departments of Psychology and Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Emory University. He has formerly taught at the University of Michigan, Harvard Medical School, and Boston University.
Westen is a world-class message builder who has worked with Presidents, congressional campaigns and major progressive organizations. He is the author of more than 150 scholarly articles and three books, including the best seller “The Political Brain,” a look at how emotion informs our politics.
He has appeared on CNN’s The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer, American Morning, Hardball, Anderson Cooper 360, the CBS Evening News, Good Morning America, PBS, NPR, and BBC and his political analysis has been featured in newspapers and magazines around the world, such as the New York Times, Washington Post, Politico and Newsweek.
