VoteBuilder Training

Welcome

The staff of the TNDP hosts regular on-line VoteBuilder webinars for volunteers and campaign workers. 

There are three levels of VoteBuilder classes, and identical Beginner and Intermediate courses are held each week. The subject of Friday's Advance webinar alternates and will be announced on this page.

Information for how to access the video and conference call portions of the webinar will be e-mailed out the day of class.

Introductory Class

This introductory course is a basic overview of what VoteBuilder is, where we get our info from, and how to use it. 

Best for: individuals unfamiliar with the VoteBuilder system

Practical Demonstration:

• Logging In
• Quick Look-up
• Info contained in VoteBuilder
• Difference between MyVoters and MyCampaign

Intermediate Class (Pt1, Pt2)

The intermediate course is a two-part class designed to show the meat of what VoteBuilder is intended to do for campaigns and county parties. 

Best for: new users who are familiar with what VoteBuilder is, but not how to use it.

Practical Demonstration (Part 1):

• Creating scripts
• Survey questions vs. Activist Codes
• How to pull and print lists and walk packets
• The Virtual Phone Bank tool
• Creating events

Practical Demonstration (Part 2):

• The importance of data entry
• How to do data entry in MyVoters and MyCampaign
• What data gets entered where

Advanced

Each Friday we will choose a single topic for in-depth discussion, such as creating targeted lists based on models provided by the TNDP, using the Counts and Crosstabs tool, or using the Canvass Results tool to track progress.

Best for: individuals who are comfortable with basic VoteBuilder tasks and want more detailed information on specific tools.
