Back to Blogging

Some of you who've known me for a while know that I used to host a blog under the pseudonym "Tennessee Values Authority." The Tennessee Values Authority blog was an opportunity for me to write about and comment on topics from a left-leaning point of view. I had to give it up for a while as real life intervened on too many fronts.I was always grateful that several bloggers, most notably R. Neal of Knoxviews and Michael Silence of…See More

S.O.S. Training in District 2 -- Are You Going to Help Save Our State?

On the face of it, you'd think the choice couldn't be easier. One side is a group of people who look to cut "wasteful" spending, but in reality seem to be dedicated to balancing the state's budget on the backs of the lowest income, most underemployed segments of our population. Meanwhile, they also vote in support of legislation to increase pollution in our streams, weaken the state's election systems, criminalize women's health issues, and champion legislation designed purely to divide the… Continue

They Care. Just Not About You.

Do not fret, dear unemployed or under-employed Tennesseans for the state TNGOP is at your back. Sadly, they do seem to be clutching a knife. But never forget, they're worried about you. That's why when it comes to eliminating "wasteful" spending from the budget they've targeted programs that waste money on you.

Hello, everyone! I'm looking forward to tomorrow morning's organizing convention for the Knox County Democratic Party. My wife and I will both be attending as delegates from our ward. I was also honored to be elected chair of our ward for the next term and look forward to working hard to bring about some TNDP victories in 2010.
