This is the Fourth of July, and I was reading the news when I came across a cartoon called "Hawk's Eye View." In the cartoon a couple sits in a graveyard watching fireworks amongst the graves of our founding fathers. I am enjoying the Fourth of July weekend--while taking some time off from work I was watching a segment of of the Rachel Madow Show where Richard Engel, of NBC news, reported on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. In this segement, Richard Engel shows video of a firefight in Afghanistan. The video shows the reality of war. It is a sobering reminder of the dangers of battle.
