President Obama's Nobel Peace Prize
The President was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. You know, maybe he got it because the world sees the open hand of friendship from the United States, rather than the clinched fist of war. Maybe he got it because no one else was even trying to get enemies to talk to each other. Everyone else had pretty well given up on Iran and Korea; no one seemed to think we could ever get an agreement between Israel and Hamas, but The President thinks we should try. Maybe it won't hurt to try a little harder and see what happens. The world thinks YOUR PRESIDENT IS A GOOD GUY RATHER THAN A BAD GUY. This cannot be bad for our country. And, at least he's trying!

I assume from your comment that you are a Democrat; as a really liberal Democrat, I understand conservatives, but I don't understand your logic. I agree that some in our party are to close to bankers and multinational corporations for them to be objectively for the people, but corruption seems to be more a capitalist trait than a socialist trait. My view is that socialism means we take care of each other and capitalism means we take care of only ourselves. I am a liberal and pretty much a socialist, particularly on the issue of healthcare. I want these things for my fellow citizens; security, peace, good jobs, good education, good healthcare. How am I a "...threat to everything..."?

I've always thought he got it because he inspires hope in so many people, not just Americans, but all around the world. He is a breath of fresh air and his ability to bring out and listen to all sides is the best representation we can have.

You quoted G Gordon Liddy. You have compared Obama to Hitler. Where was your outrage during the Bush-Cheney years? If you bring down big men who are crooks, you do improve society. We are already a socialist country because capitalism fails horribly in so many ways. You argue, not to improve, but to destroy. You have passion, but no compassion. Perhaps, I was incorrect; maybe you're not nuts, just horribly misdirected.

You're nuts! I am a socialist. Baramck Obama is strictly middle of the road. I admire the fact that he has the patience to be nice to people (like you) who say crazy things about him. Personally, I am too old to have patience with crazy people.
