I have spent a lot of time lately being critical of the state of politics and the tone of discourse in this country these days.

Today, I want to maintain an awareness of the fact that I am able to do that here without fear of government recrimination. I love this country unconditionally, and one of the things I love most is my ability to criticize and work to correct anything and everything I think we can do better.

So, today I celebrate our history of striving for freedom and my personal freedom to speak my mind and heart.
