The Naked Truth about AWOL Gov. Mark Sanford from South Carolina

We finally heard from the AWOL Governor of South Carolina. He has been missing since last Thursday, but today his office reported he was out walking the Appalachian Trail. Of course, the AT does not go through South Carolina, but that didn't stop Gov. Sandford (and GOP Presidential hopeful in 2012) from stealing the State SUV to go missing on Father's Day weekend.

It might strike some of you as odd that a father of four boys would leave them home to go walk the AT on Father's Day weekend. But this action showed prudent judgement from the Guv because he was out on the AT for Naked Hiking Day. Yep, this weekend was that special time for the AT.

Sanford had not disappeared. According to his spokesman, he was hiking on the Appalachian Trail. Coincidentally, on Naked Hiking Day. It’s a big tradition. Many hikers celebrate the summer solstice by hiking au naturel. It just so happened the solstice occurred on Fathers Day — one of the days Sanford was hiking.

Coincidence? I think not.
