The shame of the U.S. Senate
Pauyl Krugman, Nobel Laureate Paul Krugman, has an Op-Ed article in this morning's NY Times (2-8-10), calling the Republicans to account for the situation in the U.S. Senate. It needs to be read and reproduced by every one calling themselves a Democrat and sent to everyone who might be on the fence - trying to decide which party truly represents "main stream" America.
I have sent letters to the two people respresenting us (Ha! Now that's a joke) in nthe Senate, demanding an immediate response. I trust everyone will join me..

The behavior of the Republicans in the United States Senate is shameful. Given our Constitution makes mention of usual business vote requirements in the Senate other than majority, (50%+1), it is time for the Democrats to begin using the "nuclear option" for such nonsense as this--and now Sen Shelby's silly little tantrum in Alabama.
Please, Dems!! act boldly... we need it!
